FAQs

How many people can you cater too?

The Madison Event Centercan accommodate nearly any size group from 10 to 400 guests in a variety of rooms. There are six event spaces to choose from, each with the unique style.

Will a manager/coordinator be present to oversee your event to the end?

Yes, a dedicatedEvent Captain/Night of Coordinator will be present during your entire event to oversee all the details, and our full staff will be available to meet any requests throughout the event and cater to the newlyweds all night!

How long before the event can we have access to the room so that we may prepare it?

We guarantee that you and your vendors will have access to the event space 2 hours before the start time.

Are the set up and clean up including the final price?

Yes, all the set up and clean up our included in the all-inclusive package. We also provide a complementary hour of decorating to set up any personal touches you may want to add.

Do you charge per headcount, by the hour, or flat fee?

At the Madison Event Center we offer an affordable inclusive package that makes planning a breeze and allows you to enjoy the entire process as well as the big day! See how it works.

Do you offer a special rate at different times of the year?

Yes, the medicine event center offer special rates during the month of January, February, and March, Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons along with holiday weekends. Ask your sales manager for details

What kind of menu do you offer?

Your Sales Manager and Event Detail Specialist will work with you to select from our all inclusive menu options, and our executive chef is happy to help customize menu options for you as well! We also provide your vendors meals & accommodate dietary restriction.

Can I have my wedding ceremony at The Madison Event Center?

Yes! We have three beautiful ceremony spaces or there is an option to host your ceremony in your ballroom.

Is there an additional cost?

Our ceremony spaces are separate spaces & require a separate cost. Your Sales Manager will work with you to help include this as a part of your customized all-inclusive package.

Can I just have my ceremony at the Madison?

At this time our ceremony spaces are only reserved for couples hosting their reception at The Madison Event Center.

How long is the ceremony time?

Ceremonies are reserved for a one-hour time frame with the first half-hour for seating & the second half-hour for your ceremony.

Will you be able to hear music coming from other rooms?

No, the dance floors are specifically positioned in each ballroom on opposite ends of the building to make sure that it does not happen! In addition to several of our rooms being located on their own floor.

Where is the Madison Event Center located?

The Madison Event Center and Madison South are conveniently located in historic downtown Covington, KY., with easy access from I-75, I-71, I-275 and downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

Madison North is located at 700 Madison Ave, Covington KY 41011

Madison South is located at 740 Madison Ave, Covington KY 41011

Is there plenty of parking?

Yes. In fact, there is ample complimentary parking available in the 7th Street Garage, and is available 24/7. In addition, valet service is available on Friday & Saturday evenings at Madison North, provided by Hotel Covington, charges may vary. (parking)

Are there hotels nearby?

The beautiful Hotel Covington  is a sister company, and is located just across the street from Madison North. Also within walking distance (six blocks to the north) are an Embassy Suites and Marriott. There are numerous other choices a short 10-15 minute drive away in Northern Kentucky and downtown Cincinnati.

Do I get a discount at Hotel Covington?

Our Madison booked couples are offered special discounted room block rates. Please ask your Sales Manager or Event Details Specialist for details on how to get in contact with room reservations & securing your block.

What is the nearest Airport?

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is 11.2 miles away – an easy 15 minute drive.

How many hours does a rental fee include, and is there an overtime for you if I stay longer?

Our All-Inclusive Wedding packages are 5 Hours with the option to add on additional time, prices may vary.

What time can we start/end?

The Madison Event Center can start as early as 9am & host events as late at 1am.

How long is the bar open?

Your bar package is open for the full reception time.

Is the ceremony rehearsal included or is that extra?

A rehearsal is required if your ceremony is taking place at The Madison Event Center. One hour will be provided to rehearse.

Do we need to provide our own officiant for our wedding ceremony?

Yes. Ask your Event Details Specialist if you need recommendations.

Food & Beverage

Does Madison allowed outside catering?

No, we do not allow outside catering. Our in-house Executive Chef prepares everything on-site.

Can we bringing our own alcohol?

Unfortunately no, but we can order anything that our distributors carry to serve to you and/or your guests. Reach out to your Event Details Specialist for further information.

Do you have late night snack options?

Yes, we have several options to choose from (including a Skyline Coney Bar!); reach out to your Sales Manager & Event Details Specialist for further details.

Do we need to provide security?

Our Operations Manger is on site to monitor the venue for things like: smoking in designated smoking areas, children are monitored by adult supervision, no outside alcohol is consumed by guests, and general venue concerns and safety issues.

Are we allowed to bring in our own decorations?

Yes, One complimentary hour of set up by The Madison staff for your decorations is provided. The Madison does not allow confetti, rice, or sand in our lobby areas or ballrooms. Due to fire code it is against policy to bring in fog, smoke machine devices or candles without enclosed holders (must exceed the length of the flame).

Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?

Yes, we can accommodate both.

It's coat check available?

The Madison provides complimentary coat check to guests October-March.

Is The Madison handicapped accessible?

Yes, both of our buildings have ramp entrances along with elevators to access all floors.

What are recommendations for rehearsal dinner locations?

The Madison offers the perfect rehearsal dinner package. Our booked Madison couples receive special discounts. Contact your Sales Manager for more information.

Does The Madison a while any vendors or do we have to use the preferred vendors?

We have taken some of the stress out of searching for you by creating a list of preferred vendors. You are not required to use our list of preferred vendors. Our list of preferred vendors are those that have proven to exceed expectations for our clients.

Can we have a sparkler send off?

Yes, however, this must be done outside on the sidewalk and may not impede traffic.

Our tables, women's, chairs, plates, silverware, and glassware provided, or will I have to rent them myself?

Yes, all are included in our all-inclusive package. Contact your Sales Manager & Event Details Specialist with further questions.

Do you have directional signage to let my guests know where to go?

Yes, upon arrival there will be a greeter at the reception desk helping to direct your guests. We also provide signage at the front desk, at the elevators & in front of each ballroom.

Should I hire a wedding planner?

The Madison is an all-inclusive venue, wedding planners are welcome, if this is your personal preference.

Can I leave my Decor items overnight and pick them up the next day?

The Madison does not store items for a later pick up from outside vendors or personal decorations from your event.

What decorations do you include?

The Madison has a variety of centerpiece options, table and ceremony decorations for you to choose from. Contact your Event Details Specialist to receive further details.

Hotel Covington

What kind of property is Hotel Covington?

We are the only independent, Luxury Boutique Hotel in the downtown Cincinnati market; locally owned and managed.

Where is Hotel Covington located?

Hotel Covington is located in the central business district of Covington, KY; just 1 mile from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

What is Hotel Covington's proximity to Cincinnati?

Hotel Covington is just 1 mile from downtown Cincinnati. Guests can also walk across the Roebling Bridge into downtown in the warmer season.

What parking options are available at your hotel?

Overnight valet and daily valet are available. Overnight parking is $20 per vehicle and daily parking is $8 per vehicle. If you prefer to self-park there is a parking garage in the back of the hotel with a daily rate of $5.

What is the hotels pet policy?

We are a pet friendly hotel with a non-refundable pet cleaning fee of $75 per stay. We do welcome service animals at no fee, as required by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Is Hotel Covington family friendly?

Yes, we welcome children of all ages. Complimentary cribs are also available upon request.

What food and beverage options of the hotel have?

Coppin’s Restaurant – our main dining facility offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day in our glass-enclosed atrium

Coppin’s Bar/Lounge – located in our main lobby; a great spot to hang out and grab a drink or a light bite

Coffee Barista – located in the lobby offering specialty coffee beverages daily

The Walk-Up – outdoor, seasonal late-night walk-up window offering quick casual bites

Does the hotel have an outdoor space?

Yes, we do have a unique, outdoor urban courtyard and event lawn.

Does the hotel offer room service?

Yes, Monday through Friday 6:30am – 10:00pm and Friday/Saturday 7:00am – 11:00pm.
